Travel Date....

The wait for our travel date is over! Our interview is October 10th at 11:00am. (4:00 am Ga. time; 3 am La and Tx time) We are very excited that our interview has been scheduled. We are working on getting a flight and will leave either Friday Oct. 7th or Saturday the 8th. This journey has been covered in prayer and has been full of BIG faith decisions. God has been so faithful to us as we have traveled this road. It shows us how much He truly loves the fatherless.

The interview is a time that we meet with an adoption department employee and they show us children that are available for adoption. We will be able to see small pictures of the children with a little description of their medical condition. We are going to ask to be shown children as young as possible and relatively healthy. (Many people say that this doesn't exist on the list. However, we are trusting that God has that child/children waiting for us.) We can then choose a child or sibling group to meet. After receiving referral papers we will travel to the orphanage that the child lives in, meet the child, and decide if we want to continue forward with the adoption of this particular child. If we do, then we start the paperwork and wait for a court date. If we do not think this child is going to be right for our family then we can ask for a 2nd interview. It is not uncommon for families to have more than one interview. Adoptive families are allowed up to three interviews. We have faith that God is in control of this and will make it clear who we should adopt.

As we continue down this path we ask you, our friends and family, to continue to pray for us.
We desire to have prayer warriors lifting us up before, during, and after our interview.
We ask for prayers about discernment as we walk through this process.
Please pray for our children at home and for the wonderful people who are taking care of them:-)
Travel safety.
Financial provision.

We give God all the glory in advance for what He alone can do. We claim the following verse!

"The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." Deut. 31:8

We rejoice with you as you walk in faith. The interview process is very fresh in our minds and we remember acutely the emotions throughout our time in Ukraine. We will pray that God would anoint your appointment. He hems us in, behind and before. May He open your eyes as you look at the photos and guide your hearts as you hear their descriptions. We would be happy to share some insights if you wish. We know this is a hectic time as you prepare for your trip. In Christ, Denise Alzen. (715)749-3977, bwalzen@pressenter.com
